Tracy Bleier, 500 ERYT
Tracy Bleier has been a local teacher and community leader/builder for the past twenty years. She has had many classrooms, from inside a traditional high school where she taught English Literature and writing to inside a yoga room where she taught people of all demographics the value that a yoga practice can bring to their lives. She has owned studios for decades, taught trainings and workshops and has spent most of her life as a voracious learner. She believes that our lives give us precious opportunities to learn about ourselves and she uses observations about her own life, refined from her years of practice, to tap into universal truths that feed the conversations she infuses into her classes.
Tracy teaches a range of yoga experiences, including the physical practices of Hatha Vinyasa yoga and functional movement and the contemplative practices of meditation and journaling. Tracy is happily married and is a proud mama to three boys, two dogs and a cat. She recently moved to Chicago where, in addition to teaching and caring for her family, she is writing her first book.
Anna Argeropoulos, 500 ERYT
Anna has been practicing yoga since she was 8 years old and her Mom brought a yoga book home from the library. She has studied many styles and forms of yoga and holds a 500HR certification, a prenatal certification, as well as continued study in the fields of martial arts and biomechanics. Her first, and most beloved, training was at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in NYC.
Anna is passionate about mentoring yoga teachers, clear and creative cueing, and accessible knowledge of the physical body. As with all teachers in her primary lineage, her classes incorporate practical examination of dharma and chanting. Having practiced through the changing rhythms of her own life, including two pregnancies, Anna believes strongly in the power of meditative movement for all bodies. Most importantly, Anna strives to bring joy and devotion to how she presents the practice of yoga, so that her students can find a way to create a steady and sustainable personal practice for years to come.
Angie Starz, 500 ERYT
Angie is a yoga and meditation teacher and mindfulness coach. She was introduced to yoga as a 16 year old in gym class and her early home practices consisted of Rodney Yee VHS tapes. Much has changed since then, but the fact remains - Yoga has helped Angie overcome body image issues, develop confidence as a business owner, relieve stress and anxiety issues, prevent migraines and, simply put, be a better human being.
Her teaching style is blended from years of movement and philosophical exploration - including the Yoga lineages of Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga and outside modalities of Reiki, Daoism and modern mindfulness studies. Angie believes that inquiry and investigation are life’s greatest teachers. Her teacher trainings submit to an experiential, non-dogmatic approach to education.
Prior to teaching Yoga, Angie spent time in the marketing industry supporting Fortune 100 + 500 brands in their mobile, social and digital strategies. She credits this knowledge and experience into her success building her own business. Sharing her successes (and many failures) is one of the most rewarding parts of training and mentoring teachers.
